Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 26, 2026
Last updated: July 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Postly (“Postly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Postly mobile application and related services (the “Service”). Postly helps creators and businesses generate, schedule, and publish social media content with AI.

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are / contact

Postly is operated by Emmanuel Tassone.

Privacy questions and data requests:
emmanueltassone@gmail.com

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the following categories:

2.1 Account and contact information

  • Email address
  • Name or display name (if provided)
  • Password (stored in hashed form) when you sign up with email
  • Apple account identifiers and related profile details when you use Sign in with Apple

2.2 Profile and content information you provide

  • Creator or business profile details (for example business name, intent/goals, tone, audience, industry, keywords, and content language)
  • Posts, drafts, captions, schedules, and related content you create in the app
  • Photos, images, and other media you upload or generate for posts
  • Connected social account metadata needed to publish on your behalf

2.3 Purchase and subscription information

  • Subscription tier, purchase status, and transaction identifiers processed through Apple In-App Purchases
  • We do not receive your full payment card number; Apple processes payments

2.4 Usage, device, and technical information

  • App interactions related to creating, scheduling, and publishing posts
  • Approximate location derived from IP address for language/locale detection (for example English vs Spanish)
  • Device and technical data such as app version, operating system, and basic diagnostics needed to operate and secure the Service

2.5 Information from third-party services you connect

If you connect social platforms through our publishing partner, we receive tokens and account identifiers necessary to authenticate, schedule, and publish content to the accounts you authorize.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Generate AI drafts, images, and related content based on your profile and instructions
  • Schedule and publish posts to connected social accounts
  • Provide calendars, drafts, editing, and subscription features
  • Process purchases and restore subscriptions
  • Localize the app and AI content language
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content to build advertising profiles for third-party ads.

4. AI processing

To generate drafts and images, we send relevant profile details and content prompts to AI service providers (currently Google Gemini / Google AI). Those providers process the data to return generated content for your account. Do not submit sensitive personal data in prompts or profile fields unless you are comfortable with that processing.

5. How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Publishing partner (PostPeer): account connection data, post content, media URLs, and scheduling information required to publish to platforms you connect
  • AI providers (Google): prompts and profile context needed to generate content
  • Apple: authentication (Sign in with Apple) and in-app purchase validation
  • Infrastructure providers: hosting, database, and file storage providers that process data on our behalf
  • Legal / safety: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Postly and our users

Social networks you connect (for example LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky, and others available in your plan) will receive the content you choose to publish under their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Data retention

We retain account, profile, post, and media data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, unless we must retain some information for legal, security, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes (for example subscription records).

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and associated personal data
  • Export a copy of your data
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Object to or restrict certain processing

To exercise these rights, email emmanueltassone@gmail.com. You can also disconnect social accounts in the app, edit profile fields, and manage Apple subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

8. Children’s privacy

Postly is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than your own, including through cloud and AI providers. Where required, we take steps designed to provide appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Tracking and advertising

Postly does not use third-party advertising trackers to track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising. If this changes, we will update this Policy and App Store privacy disclosures.

12. Third-party services and links

The Service relies on third parties such as Apple, Google, PostPeer, and social networks you connect. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies before connecting accounts.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app or by email.
